What are server-side signature rules?

Signature Rules enable the server-side signature deployment solution to embed different signatures according to the rules you specify. With Signature Rules you can create customized email signatures for different purposes – such as for Internal vs. External emails, or for Compose vs. Reply emails.

How does it work?

Once the email reaches the WiseStamp server, the relevant signature is attached to it based on the email metadata, which contains the rules that were defined.

Which rules can we apply to our signatures?

The rules you can apply are based on the email metadata variables, such as recipient address or sender department. This allows you to create any condition you desire. For example, you can set it up to appear only on External, or only on Internal emails, to be sent only from a specific department, or only when sent in a reply email.

Internal vs external signatures

The internal segmentation rule allows you to attach a signature only to emails sent within your organization. This comes in handy when you want to avoid seeing marketing banners on internal emails, or if you wish to celebrate a company event without external eyes on it.

Department-based signatures

With department-based rules, you can set a specific signature design per department or team. This is useful when announcing department-specific events to your audience, such as an upcoming conference your Sales team will attend.

Reply vs Compose signatures

You can have a specific signature attached only to Reply emails, or create a signature that only appears on new (Compose) emails. A slimmer version of your signatures on replies cleans your email threads considerably, while a dedicated signature for Compose can help you when a disclaimer is needed only on the first email.
